Clinical Services

The clinical services are provided through a closed ICU with the following:

A 15 bedded general purpose ICU (planned to expand to 30 beds) for adult patients
Bedside bronchoscopy
Bedside echocardiography
Continuous renal replacement therapy at the bedside
Bedside percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy

The departmental out-reach services to the wards include:

Assessment, advice and transfer of critically ill patients to the ICU.
Airway assessment and management
Placement of central venous lines/ Hemodialysis Catheters
Advice regarding parenteral nutrition of patients
A follow up clinic is running in the department every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday to ensure follow up of the patients who are discharged from the ICU.
